DESCRIPTION
French newspaper during the Third Republic was published between 1876 and 1944, exceeding two million editions after the First World War, it was popular among the masses and the French middle class, offering sensationalist news, such as murders, catastrophes, finance, fashion without content thus avoiding taxes. As we have previously insisted, always under a French CHAUVINUME approach, exchanging and placing the figure of the classic diver and highlighting him with his fight against giant sharks, treasure rescues, ship raising, always as a national hero. It was the official journal of the Vichy regime during World War II under the editorship of Claude Jeantet, also published in Germany in 1944 before going out of business.
