DESCRIPTION
CHALUMEAU DECOUPEUR SOUS L'EAU.
MODELE HYDROGENÉ 1037
SYSTEME PICARD BREVETE SGDG.
TYPE H7.
In 1937 the french company 'Air Liquide' introduced the Hydrogene under water cutting torch model 'H7', which was developed in cooperation with Mr. Charles Picard.
The ingeniousity of this system was that the pressure of the supplied gas would automatically be adjusted for the depth the diver would be working. To achieve this, both the oxygene and the hydrogene are simultaniously regulated by reducer valves with double membranes, and automatically compensated by the pressure of the air supplied to the diver.
This way a simultanious pressure for the divers air and the cutter's ogygene and hydrogene is provided, allowing under water cutting at various depths without having to adjust the regulators for the cutters gasses.
